NIA conducts searches at 22 places to probe human-trafficking syndicate

“The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) on Thursday (November 28, 2024) carried out searches at 22 places in six States to probe a human-trafficking syndicate luring youth to work in name centres engaged in cyber frauds,” officers mentioned.

They mentioned the searches have been being carried out in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi amongst different locations.

The case, which was registered by police in Gopalganj in Bihar, pertains to an organised syndicate luring and trafficking Indian youth to overseas nations on the pretext of jobs and forcing them to work in faux name centres engaged in cyber fraud.
