Nigel Farage has defended a controversial Reform UK advert about Scottish Labour chief Anas Sarwar.

Each Labour and First Minister John Swinney have described the web video – posted forward of a Holyrood by-election – as “blatantly racist”.

At a press convention in London, Farage performed the video and accused Sarwar of introducing “sectarianism” into Scottish politics.

The Scottish Labour chief described the claims as “absolute nonsense”.

Ross Lambie insisted the advert was “completely not” racist

Pressed on the truth that the Scottish Labour chief didn’t say he needed to “prioritise” the Pakistani group within the clips, Lambie claimed “that is what the entire speech is about”.

Lambie stated Reform was centered on advantage and didn’t wish to “foist varied minority teams into positions”.

The Reform candidate accused “the left” of attempting to construct a “two-tier” society and accused Sarwar of “political deflection”.

SNP by-election candidate Katy Loudon stated the Reform video needs to be taken down instantly.

Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate Aisha Mir accused Reform of “scummy ways”.
