BJD staff staged a protest in Odisha’s Balasore district on Wednesday after a 20-year-old school pupil died by self-immolation. The coed died by suicide, allegedly as a consequence of extended sexual harassment by her instructor.

Earlier, BJD chief Naveen Patnaik criticised the Odisha authorities, calling their administration a “failed system” and blamed their inaction for the dying of a Balasore school pupil.

On Monday, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar confirmed the dying of the 20-year-old pupil from Fakir Mohan Autonomous Faculty in Odisha’s Balasore, who had tried self-immolation.

The Division of Burn Centre, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, stated in an announcement that the affected person was delivered to the casualty on July 12 and was referred from Balasore District Headquarters Hospital to AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
