One killed after Baloch militants storm Sorab metropolis in Pakistan

A senior Pakistani authorities official was killed when Baloch militants briefly seized management of a metropolis within the restive Balochistan province, torching properties and looting a financial institution, authorities stated on Saturday (Might 31, 2025).

Militants belonging to the Balochistan Liberation Military (BLA) stormed Sorab metropolis within the Khuzdar district late Friday (Might 30).

They ransacked authorities workplaces, looted a business financial institution and set fireplace to the residences of a number of authorities officers, in accordance with Balochistan authorities spokesperson Shahid Rind.

Extra Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Income Hidayat Buledi Baloch was killed whereas making an attempt to save lots of state property and lives through the assault, Rind stated.

Rind termed the assault a direct problem to the writ of the state and a “cowardly try to destabilise the area”.
