Ayodhya was bathed in a divine glow and religious fervour on Sunday night as greater than 2.5 lakh earthen lamps have been lit alongside the banks of the Saryu River on the Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat on the auspicious event of Ram Navami.

1000’s of devotees gathered on the ghats to take part within the grand Sandhya Aarti as chants of “Jai Shri Ram” echoed all through town. The celebration evoked a religious ambiance harking back to Deepotsav, the pageant of lights celebrated throughout Diwali.
