Pakistan’s Ministry of International Affairs (MFA) has criticised India’s choice to revoke visas of Pakistani residents, citing “humanitarian challenges” for medical therapy seekers and divided households.

Whereas responding to media queries concerning the availability of the Wagha border crossing for Pakistani residents getting back from India, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of International Affairs Shafqat Ali Khan said, “The Indian choice to revoke visas of Pakistani residents is creating critical humanitarian challenges. Many sufferers, with fragile well being, needed to return to Pakistan with out finishing their therapy. Moreover, there are experiences of households being break up and youngsters being separated from one in all their mother and father.”

The Attari-Wagah border was shut on Thursday (Could 1, 2025) after being stored open until April 30, 2025.
