Pahalgam terror assault: India bans all imports from Pakistan – The Occasions of India

NEW DELHI: Within the aftermath of the horrific Pahalgam terror assault, India on Saturday imposed a right away ban on direct and oblique import of all items from Pakistan with fast impact.

Based on the notification, the restriction has been applied “within the curiosity of nationwide safety and public coverage.” The newly inserted provision within the FTP categorically says, “direct or oblique import or transit of all items originating in or exported from Pakistan, whether or not or not freely importable or in any other case permitted, shall be prohibited with fast impact, till additional orders.”
Any exception to the ban will now require the express approval of the federal government, the notification added.
The transfer comes days after a lethal terror assault in Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 folks, most of them vacationers.
