Perplexity AI seems to increase in India, seeks new expertise for strategic progress, ETCFO

Aravind Srinivas, cofounder and CEO of Perplexity AI, a man-made intelligence startup, introduced on LinkedIn that the corporate is trying to recruit somebody to assist increase its presence in India. The position includes journey and assembly with strategic companions in a fast-paced, startup setting.

In December, the agency, constructing a search product to compete with Alphabet Inc.’s Google, closed a $500 million spherical of funding that tripled the corporate’s valuation to $9 billion.

In a latest interview, Srinivas informed ET that the opposition over Indian immigrants and H-1B visas that’s roiling Donald Trump’s workforce even earlier than he takes workplace misses the purpose and isn’t borne out by information.

The founder stands on the centre of a broader dialog on the contributions of expert immigrants to the US. Chennai-born Srinivas, who graduated from IIT Madras and later did his PhD from College of California, Berkeley, labored at OpenAI earlier than launching Perplexity AI in 2022.
