Following the tragic incident of alleged medical negligence, the lady ended up delivering her child outdoors the hospital premises on a stretcher. Based on the information company IANS, the new child woman survived for under half-hour.
The surprising episode occurred late Sunday evening on the Sidhi district hospital.
The lady was initially admitted to a main well being centre in Majhauli, situated about 50 km from Sidhi. Later, she was referred to the district hospital after her situation deteriorated.
Upon her arrival on the Sidhi district hospital on Sunday night, her situation continued to deteriorate.
Medical workers on the district hospital subsequently referred her to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital (SGMH) in Rewa, which is almost 70 km away.
Whereas the lady’s household was making ready to move her to Rewa, she skilled extreme labour pains. Regardless of being in pressing want of care, the lady remained on a stretcher outdoors the hospital. A bunch of girls used sarees to create a makeshift cowl, underneath which the lady delivered her child woman. Tragically, the new child died half-hour after delivery.
Following the incident, the lady’s household staged a protest outdoors the hospital, alleging gross medical negligence.
A relative of the lady Nikhil Kumar mentioned, “She was in vital situation and urgently wanted medical consideration, however the hospital workers refused to confess her, claiming she had been discharged and couldn’t be taken again. Safety guards even assaulted us once we pleaded for assist,” as quoted by IANS.
Reacting to the uproar, Sidhi District Collector Swarochish Somavanshi has ordered an inquiry into the matter. “An in depth investigation has been initiated, and acceptable motion will likely be taken primarily based on the findings,” the collector asserted.
The incident has drawn widespread criticism, elevating questions concerning the state of healthcare services in Madhya Pradesh.
