CM Sarma’s clarification got here in response to a social media submit by Mukrang Engti, founding father of the Karbi Anglong Animal Welfare Society, who sought a proof relating to media reviews on the problem.

The Assam authorities has categorically said that these reviews are baseless. “No elephants have been transported from Assam within the current previous. The information objects and social media posts linking Assam to such actions are fully false and unwarranted,” the federal government asserted.
