Tennis world primary Jannik Sinner has accepted a three-month ban for doping having examined constructive for a banned substance final yr following a settlement with the World Anti-Doping Company (WADA), it mentioned on Saturday (February 15, 2025).

WADA had appealed to the Courtroom of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) towards an unbiased tribunal’s determination in August to clear Sinner of wrongdoing after he failed drug checks.

Sinner had examined constructive for anabolic agent clostebol which he mentioned had entered his system from a member of his assist crew by way of massages and sports activities remedy. The case was set to be heard by CAS in April.

“Mr Sinner will serve his interval of ineligibility from February 9, 2025 to 11:59 pm on Could 4, 2025,” WADA mentioned in an announcement, which can make him eligible to return earlier than the French Open.

WADA has formally withdrawn its enchantment to CAS after they reached a settlement.
