RBI units up panel to develop a framework on moral use of AI in monetary sector
The Reserve Financial institution of India (RBI) has introduced that it has constituted a committee to develop a Framework for Accountable and Moral Enablement of Synthetic Intelligence (FREE-AI) within the Monetary Sector. An announcement on this was first made on December 6 together with the financial coverage announcement.
The committee shall be led by Pushpak Bhattacharyya, Professor, Division of Pc Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay as chairman.
The members embody Debjani Ghosh, Distinguished Fellow, NITI Aayog, Unbiased Director, Reserve Financial institution Innovation Hub, and Ex-President, NASSCOM; Balaraman Ravindran, Professor and Head, Wadhwani Faculty of Information Science and AI, IIT Madras; Abhishek Singh, Further Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Data Know-how, Authorities of India; Rahul Matthan, Associate, Trilegal; Anjani Rathor, Group Head and Chief Digital Expertise Officer, HDFC Financial institution Ltd; Sree Hari Nagaralu, Head of Safety AI Analysis, Microsoft India (R&D). Suvendu Pati, CGM, FinTech Division, Reserve Financial institution of India has been named as member secretary.
