Tamil Nadu BJP State President Ok. Annamalai on Friday expressed his assist for former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin’s comment that Hindi isn’t the nation’s “nationwide language” and clarified that it serves as a hyperlink language as a substitute.
Annamalai, calling Ashwin his “expensive pal,” agreed with the cricketer’s assertion and emphasised that Hindi is a “language of comfort”.
“Right. It isn’t our nationwide language which Annamalai can be telling you. Not solely my expensive pal Ashwin has to say that…It isn’t the nationwide language. It was a hyperlink language, it’s a language of comfort,” the BJP chief advised the media.’

Ashwin had weighed in on the continuing debate about Hindi being a nationwide or official language. Throughout a speech at a commencement ceremony in Chennai, Ashwin made it clear that Hindi is an official language, not the nationwide language.
“English college students in the home..give me a yay. Tamil (college students cheer loudly)…okay..Hindi (little or no noise from the group).. I wished to say Hindi is an official language and never the nationwide language,” the previous cricketer mentioned.
The Indian Structure designates Hindi because the official language of India, not the nationwide language. The Structure additionally commemorates September 14 as Hindi Diwas, celebrating Hindi’s standing because the Union authorities’s official language.
