Seven useless, 17 injured as passenger car falls into gorge in J&Ok’s Doda

Seven folks, together with a lady and a minor lady, have been killed and 17 have been injured when an overloaded passenger car veered off a hilly highway and plunged right into a deep gorge in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday (July 15, 2025), officers stated.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh stated he spoke to Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh upon receiving the details about the accident.

In the meantime, three different highway accidents in Doda and Ramban districts claimed one life and left 4 others injured on Tuesday.

One individual was killed when his car collided with one other car inside a tunnel in Banihal alongside the Jammu-Srinagar Nationwide Freeway in Ramban district, the officers stated.

A pair was injured when a non-public SUV turned turtle at Bhagwa village of Doda, whereas two individuals have been injured when a bus carrying Amarnath pilgrims hit an iron railing inside Kela Morh tunnel in Ramban, the officers stated.
