Singapore-flagged container vessel MV Wan Hai 503 caught fireplace 78 nautical miles off the coast of Beypore in Kerala on Monday (June 9). Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy’s belongings have been deployed to assist the ship.
In a publish on social media, the Defence Public Relations Workplace (PRO) in Kochi mentioned that in response to the report of the fireplace onboard MV Wan Hai 503, the Indian Navy had diverted INS Surat and deliberate a DO sortie from INS Garuda.
The Indian Coast Guard, alternatively, deployed a CG Dornier plane amongst different belongings for rescue & evaluation.

Additional updates by the Defence PRO talked about that 5 Coast Guard ships– Sachet, Arnvesh, Samudra Prahari, Abhinav, and Rajdoot– have been concerned within the rescue mission. A C144 plane was additionally included within the checklist of belongings deployed.

Of the 22 crew members onboard MV Wan Haai 503, 18 have deserted the ship on boat and are being rescued by ICG and Indian Navy. The reason for the fireplace shouldn’t be recognized but. No casualties have been reported to this point.
