In a tragic incident, six younger members of a household, most of them cousins, drowned within the Meshwo river in Gujarat’s Kheda district on Wednesday night, the police stated.

Upon receiving details about the incident, a crew from the Nadiad Fireplace Brigade reached the spot close to Kanij village and recovered all six our bodies from the river, a senior police officer stated.

“Six brothers and sisters, together with cousins, had come to take a shower within the night in a river close to Kanij village, the place all of them drowned. The crew reached the spot and operations had been carried out to take them out,” Rajesh Gadhiya, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kheda, advised reporters.
All of the our bodies had been despatched for autopsy.
