Smoke plume over Disney World was attributable to a fireplace in a walk-in cooler

ORLANDO, Fla. — A smoke plume that towered over Walt Disney World Resort on Saturday was attributable to a walk-in cooler that caught fireplace, a consultant from Disney stated.

The blaze was shortly extinguished, and there have been no accidents. Pictures and video of the hearth that have been captured by park company and others within the Orlando space circulated extensively on social media.

The walk-in cooler behind the France Pavilion caught fireplace in a backstage space. The pavilion is a part of the World Showcase on the resort’s Epcot theme park.

The reason for the hearth was not instantly identified. The official stated it was shortly put out by the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District fireplace division.

The pavilion reopened to theme park company within the early night.
