Suresh guarantees gentle loans for dairy farming

The newly elected president of Bangalore Milk Union Ltd. (BAMUL), D.Ok. Suresh, on Sunday advised farmers that he had directed officers of cooperative banks to supply ₹2 lakh mortgage to them at 3% rate of interest to purchase two cows.

Addressing a programme organised in Magadi to felicitate him, Mr. Suresh stated such a measure was being taken to encourage farmers to take to dairying. Stating that BAMUL was procuring milk to the tune of 15 lakh litres a day as towards its capability to deal with 25 lakh litres, he stated he had directed the authorities involved to make sure that milk manufacturing reaches the complete potential of the union in a couple of 12 months.
