Three held for stealing car batteries

The Begur police have arrested a gang of three individuals on the cost of stealing batteries from automobiles parked on the highway.

Based mostly on a grievance by an SUV proprietor, the police tracked down the accused, recognized as Surendra Kumar, 33, from Rajasthan, working as a labourer within the metropolis, and his associates, Tousif, 30, and Arifulla Khan, 50.

The trio used to allegedly transfer round residential areas and steal car batteries and promote them. With their arrest, the police have recovered 24 batteries of various kinds of automobiles price ₹11.5 lakh, and solved eight theft instances reported in and across the metropolis.
