Three individuals killed in Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon

Noting the military items’ deployment to Khiam and Marjeyoun cities, Mikati stated the reinforcement represents a basic step in implementing the ceasefire deal.

The Lebanese military stated in an announcement on Wednesday that its items, in coordination with the UN Interim Power in Lebanon, had been stationed in 5 places surrounding Khiam within the border space of southern Lebanon.

The ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, brokered by the US and France, went into impact on 27 November, aiming to halt over 14 months of preventing between the 2 sides.

Beneath the settlement, Israel will withdraw from Lebanese territory inside 60 days, the Lebanese military shall be deployed on the border, and Hezbollah will retreat north of the Litani River.

Regardless of the truce, tensions stay as either side trade accusations of ceasefire violations, elevating considerations in regards to the settlement’s sturdiness.
