TN hikes compensation to homeowners of boats seized by Sri Lankan Navy

The Tamil Nadu authorities has introduced a rise in compensation for homeowners of mechanised boats seized by the Sri Lankan Navy, from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh per boat, as per an order issued by chief minister M.Ok. Stalin.

Moreover, the day by day monetary help for households of fishermen detained in Sri Lankan prisons has been elevated from Rs 350 to Rs 500. The order was handed on 3 March, Monday.
