TTD provides RTC buses to its present fleet of free buses

In a major transfer aimed toward enhancing the comfort of devotees visiting Tirumala, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh State Street Transport Company (APSRTC), has added further buses to its already present fleet of autos for transporting pilgrims from one location to a different atop the temple city.
TTD Further Government Officer C.H. Venkayya Chowdary flagged off the free APSRTC buses on Thursday (June 19, 2025) on the Aswini Hospital Circle.
He declared that the initiative was a part of TTD’s efforts to save lots of pilgrims from getting fleeced by the native cab drivers who cost them exorbitant charges and scale back vehicular air pollution atop the city.
Thanking the RTC authorities for responding positively to the TTDs request he acknowledged that the buses shall ply within the routes utilized by the present ‘Sri Vari Dharma Rathams’.
At current, round 300 free journeys are run day by day by the TTD’s Dharma Rathams and the brand new inclusion shall improve its complete by one other 80 journeys.
