Two nabbed for suspected kidnapping bid in Kozhikode

The police on Thursday nabbed two Mangaluru natives who allegedly tried to kidnap a seven-year-old boy whereas he was enjoying on the seaside close to Puthiyakadavu in Kozhikode. The 2 have been recognized as Sreenivasan, 53 and Lakshmi, 48.

Police sources mentioned the 2 have been caught by native residents when kids who reportedly witnessed the incident alerted them. They reportedly advised the police that the suspects had tried to stuff the boy right into a sack. As the youngsters raised an alarm, the 2 fled the spot, the police mentioned.

The police later traced the suspects with the assistance of native residents. “The 2 have been engaged in amassing junk supplies,” mentioned a senior officer from the Vellayil station. He added that the youngsters’s statements could be verified.
