Below this scheme, ten thousand scholarships are awarded yearly to college students belonging to the economically weaker part of the Northeast area on the price of ₹8,000 per 30 days for ten months.
Fifty per cent of the scholarships beneath every class are earmarked for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Regulation, Administration and the opposite 50 per cent are earmarked for Science, Engineering & Know-how, Medical, Technical, Agriculture and Forestry programmes.

UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship: Eligibility standards
- Candidates have to move Class 12 from a recodnised college located within the Northeast (together with CBSE< CISCE and NIOS faculties).
- They need to be pursuing a recognised undergraduate diploma
- Solely the scholars who’re already admitted within the first 12 months of the UG diploma programme in an eligible college/school/establishment inside India are eligible to use.
