UP CM Adityanath Accuses Waqf Board Of Land Encroachment, Calls It ‘Land Mafia’ | India Information

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday launched a scathing assault on the Waqf Board, accusing it of land encroachments and asserting that its “arbitrary claims” over public and historic websites would not be tolerated.

Talking at a gathering in Prayagraj, Adityanath stated, “The Waqf Board had been making baseless claims over lands throughout cities. Even through the preparations for the Kumbh Mela, they declared that the occasion’s land belonged to them. We needed to ask – has the Waqf Board become a land mafia?”

He emphasised that below his authorities, such encroachments had been eliminated, and mafias had been pushed out of Uttar Pradesh.

“Encroachments had been made within the title of Waqf at numerous locations, together with the sacred land related to Nishad Raj. However this won’t be allowed to proceed. A grand and divine Kumbh Mela was organised regardless of their objections,” he stated.

The chief minister additionally lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Dwelling Minister Amit Shah for taking legislative motion towards the alleged irregularities of the Waqf Board.

The Waqf (Modification) Invoice was handed within the Lok Sabha on Wednesday and launched within the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

Adityanath confused that the state would not tolerate unlawful claims and that nationwide curiosity should come first. “Those that are loyal to the nation will at all times discover their path forward,” he stated.
