UP Man Tricked Into Marrying Bride’s Widowed Mom In Meerut | India Information

Meerut: A person was allegedly tricked into marrying the mom of his 21-year-old bride right here, police mentioned Saturday. The complainant, Mohammad Azeem (22), a resident of Brahmapuri in Meerut, mentioned that his wedding ceremony was organized with Mantasha from Shamli district by his brother Nadeem and his spouse, Shaida.

The marriage came about on March 31 and through the ceremony, the Maulvi referred to the bride as Tahira. Upon lifting the veil, he found that Mantasha’s 45-year-old widowed mom, disguised as bride, had gotten married to him, as an alternative of Mantasha, police mentioned. He claimed that Rs 5 lakh had been exchanged through the ceremony.

Azeem informed the police that when he protested in opposition to the fraud, his brother and sister-in-law threatened to falsely implicate him in a rape case. He then filed a grievance on Thursday, police mentioned.

CO Brahmapuri Saumya Asthana mentioned, “A settlement has been reached between the concerned events. Azeem has withdrawn his grievance and indicated that he doesn’t want to pursue any authorized motion right now.”
