US-based Indian physician receives world recognition for vaccine analysis

Kolkata-born US-based doctor Dr Ananda Bandyopadhyay, recognized for his vital contributions to India’s polio elimination efforts and measles surveillance initiatives, has been awarded the distinguished IVI–SK Bioscience Park MahnHoon Award.
Bandyopadhyay, 45, of Gates Basis, was collectively honoured with Professor Pierre Van Damme of the College of Antwerp.
The duo was recognised for his or her groundbreaking work in vaccine analysis, notably the event and deployment of a novel oral polio vaccine.
