The USA is ready to deploy an extra 3,000 troops to its southern border with Mexico, rising active-duty personnel to roughly 9,000, US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) introduced on Saturday.
“Roughly 2,400 troopers from parts of the 2nd Stryker Brigade Fight Staff (SBCT), 4th Infantry Division” can be despatched to the border, together with “roughly 500 troopers from the third Fight Aviation Brigade,” NORTHCOM stated in an announcement.

Mexico started deploying the ten,000-strong border troop as promised to the US in alternate for deferring US President Donald Trump’s 25 per cent tariff on exported items.
