US Treasury Says Was Focused By China State-Sponsored Cyberattack

The US Treasury Division stated Monday {that a} China state-sponsored actor was behind a cyber breach leading to entry to a few of its workstations, in accordance with a letter to Congress seen by AFP.

The incident occurred earlier this month, when the actor compromised a third-party cybersecurity service supplier and was in a position to remotely entry the Treasury workstations and a few unclassified paperwork, a Treasury spokesperson added.
