In the meantime, chief of Opposition V.D. Satheesan alleged that none have stated thus far the Munambam situation can be resolved with the enactment of Waqf (Modification) Invoice.

Addressing the media right here, Satheesan questioned whether or not passing the Waqf Modification Invoice would truly resolve the problems confronted by the individuals of Munambam?

He said that the protest in Munambam was pushed by a misunderstanding.

The celebration had clearly expressed its stance on the Waqf Invoice in Parliament; he stated that their place will stay agency.

In Cherai and Munambam villages in Ernakulam district, residents have alleged that the Waqf Board is illegally asserting possession over their lands and properties, regardless of having registered deeds and land tax cost receipts.
