The NHRC took suo motu cognisance of the current violence in Murshidabad that broke out throughout protests over the Waqf (Modification) Act.

The Fee on Tuesday mentioned it has determined to ship a group to conduct an on-the-spot inquiry into the incidents, contemplating the seriousness of the scenario.

The NHRC motion comes following the receipt of a proper criticism concerning the violence and the alleged human rights violations within the affected areas.
