ZF Group commissions new plant in Coimbatore

ZF Group, an automotive provide and expertise firm, has commissioned a plant in Coimbatore to cater to the development and railways segments within the home and export markets.
The ten,000 sq.mt manufacturing facility, which is about up with 20 million euro funding (roughly Rs.192 crores), will initially have 85% of manufacturing for export market.
Andreas Moser, Government Vice President of Industrial Expertise, ZF Group, advised the media on Wednesday that the plant has capability to provide 22,000 transmissions and 35,000 axles yearly. Whereas majority of the manufacturing can be exported initially, provide to the home market will enhance within the coming years.
“The brand new plant in Coimbatore along with the primary hub in Germany will help the manufacturing capability wanted for the long run market progress within the world development tools market.
“The Off-Freeway plant will help ZF’s progress in India, supplying world class expertise to home and world OEMs,” he stated in a press launch.
In response to Peter Laier, Member of the ZF Group Board of Administration and Head – Industrial Automobile Options and Industrial Expertise, with presence in 19 areas within the nation, the ZF Group appears to be like at India as an engineering hub.
Akash Passey, president, ZF Group India, stated the wind energy plant has 12 GW capability in Coimbatore with scope for growth.
